Terms & Conditions
1. What RydStation is
RydStation is a marketplace that connects drivers with drivers. One member posts a ryd they are making; another asks for a seat on it. We introduce the two of you and handle the money that changes hands.
We are not a transport operator. We do not own the vehicles, employ the drivers or carry the passengers. The ride itself is an arrangement between the members who agreed to it.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must give us a real name and a mobile number you control.
- If you drive, you must hold a valid licence and be entitled to drive the vehicle you post.
- One account per person. Accounts are not transferable.
3. Your account
Signing up needs your name and mobile number. We verify the number with a one-time code over WhatsApp, then you set a password. Anything else — email, city, your photo, your licence — is optional and added later from your profile.
Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you, so tell us straight away if you think somebody else has access.
4. Posting a ryd, and asking for one
A posted ryd is an offer of a seat on a journey you are making anyway, on the date, route and fare you set. A request is a member asking to take it. Neither side is committed until the poster accepts a request and the referral fee is paid.
Post honestly: the vehicle, the seats and the timing should be the ones you actually intend. Members rate each other after a ride, and those ratings are visible.
5. Referral fees and payments
RydStation charges a referral fee on a confirmed match, shown in full before you pay. Payments run through our payment gateway; we never see or store your card or UPI details. Prices shown in the app include GST where it applies.
The fare itself is settled between the members, in whatever way they agree. We are not a party to it.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Plans change and the app says what a cancellation costs before you confirm it. What you get back depends on who cancelled and how close to departure — the exact figure is shown on screen at the time, and the refund goes back to the source of payment.
7. Conduct and safety
- Drive legally, and don't drive if you are not fit to.
- Treat other members decently. Harassment, threats and discrimination end an account.
- Don't use RydStation to run a commercial taxi service, to move goods, or for anything unlawful.
- Report anything that goes wrong. Reports, blocks and an in-ride SOS are built into the app.
8. Documents and verification
Some things — taking somebody else's ryd, for instance — need a verified photo and driving licence. You give those documents to us knowingly and only when you choose to. Aadhaar is never stored without your explicit consent, and you can withdraw it.
9. Suspension
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts other members at risk, or that we reasonably believe is fraudulent. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a way to respond.
10. Liability
RydStation is responsible for running the platform. It is not responsible for what happens on a journey two members arranged between themselves — the driving, the vehicle, the punctuality or the conduct of the people in it. Nothing here limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Changes
These terms will change as the product does. When they change materially we will say so in the app, and continuing to use RydStation after that means the new version applies to you.
